Brief from Palo Verde

On The Road

I made it to Palo Verde.  Too tired for a regular update.  Will do that tomorrow.  In the meantime, here’s a view from today’s riding.

Tattooine Desert
I kept thinking of the movie, Star Wars. Those tracks might have been made by a Jawa transport. It was a meditative ride, the entire 69 miles on one road. I thought about the first Captain America movie, where Steve Rogers is all beaten up, but still says, “I can do this all day.”

  2. Started out at dawn to avoid the desert heat. Didn’t get to the summit of the day’s ride until about 1 pm. So I thought I had it made, since it was supposedly 25 miles of downhill from there. The last 6 miles was a killer, though. Desert heat.
