Water Bus

Today was our first “free” day, with no activities scheduled. Well, at least not until 1800.

Donegal Castle had complimentary admission that day.

A drizzly day is great for rainbows. Picture from Paula Kahn.
At noon, we took the Water Bus, a tour of about an hour. €20 per person.
It was raining lightly, so practically everyone was in the cabin.
The rain abated, so I went up top. At first, it was wonderfully empty. That didn’t last long.

The most fun part of the water bus was the passengers.

When the water bus returned to the dock, Merrianne split off with others to get Irish Coffee. I went on by myself to SuperValu supermarket.

If the name sounds low-class, that’s not far from wrong, at least for this particular one.
Ireland and Scotland call these King Prawns. €2 coin for scale. As an aside, a Euro today is now about equal to a US dollar.
I don’t think the Chinese says Shamrock.
I passed Four Lanterns on the way home. Probably would have made an inexpensive lunch.
This is my actual lunch, which I ate back in the hotel room. Taco chips from SuperValu deli, in a heat-retaining bag, and a tray of bargain radishes.
In the evening, Emma, Jared, and Seoda gave us a demonstration of dance at the hotel.

A standard OAT dinner was provided at the hotel.
