We flew to Lukla on October 21 (google this airport) and started the trek there. We crossed at least two suspension bridges then stayed at a guesthouse. There are numerous guest houses along the trail and there were many other trekkers, Nepalese people and porters. I was amazed at how much weight these porters were carrying, 80-100lbs. On their backs going up and down these rocky trails.
October 22 was a hard day we were at 8800 ft. and we hiked 6 miles and gained 2400ft. in elevation. We are staying in Namche Bazaar, elevation 11,200. Our guide reserved rooms at the Zamling guest house, we had to walk up many stairs to reach it and then our rooms were four flights up. But the view from the room is fantastic, as you can see from the picture. I am doing fine, just slower than the rest of the group. No altitude sickness yet.
