Looked like nimbus clouds were gathering.<\/p>\n<p>When I got back to camp, I heard thunderclaps.  Although camp was still dry, I raced to gather up all my stuff and put it in the laundry room. This is where my tent used to be.  Pictures don&#8217;t do justice to the amount of rain falling, because there are no sound effects.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BywWdKEtCPY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the laundry room, I had time to figure out what to do.  The original plan was to go to another campground about 30 miles away.  But I&#8217;m now seeing that there are motels in town, just 15 miles distant.  That&#8217;s my current plan.  This means one more day in Mississippi.  The next day, I will make best speed to Dauphin Island, where there is both a camp and motel (hopefully the latter).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1625\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1625\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/pididu.com\/wordpress\/bike2017\/files\/2017\/07\/HPIM5283s.jpg\" alt=\"clearing up\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1625\" srcset=\"http:\/\/pididu.com\/wordpress\/bike2017\/files\/2017\/07\/HPIM5283s.jpg 800w, http:\/\/pididu.com\/wordpress\/bike2017\/files\/2017\/07\/HPIM5283s-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1625\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">90 minutes later, it looks like it&#8217;s clearing up.  Time to pack up and go.
