After breakfast, Mary Lou gave me a couple bananas to carry, and I was off. A few miles out of Berea, I encountered my second live turtle. It was midway across the road, and clamed up as I approached.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

That particular type of turtle sealed all the way around, top and bottom. I waited a while, and it opened just a crack to look at me, but didn’t go any further. I put it in the stream running near the road, and then it opened and crawled to the surface to stick its head out.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Late in the afternoon, I stopped at a store, and saw a full size pickup truck loaded to heaping with Marijuana. It was the local police, on Marijuana patrol. Sort of silly, I thought, since I had seen so much of it growing wild by the side of the road. No task force could possibly gather it all.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
